There have been rumors going around that Tampa Bay is wanting to get Cliff Lee. Now if he got traded to Tampa Bay, which pitcher would get traded to Cleveland? Based on Wins & Era and previous years?
I’m going to say scott Kazmir.

Im a rays fan and there have not been many rumors in the local papers around here. Reid Brignac is the Shortstop for the Triple A team and he was mentioned as possible trade bait. that trade probably wont happen. Scott Kazmir (pitcher) was another player mentioned but his name associated with the Angels.

the wins and era will probably not matter, like the matt holliday deal.
in that deal, the cards gave the a’s three minor league prospects for him, so if cliff lee does get traded, it may be like that, or it may be players like garza shields or price.
either can happen.

I havnt heard much of this… i dont think it will happen but they wouldnt necissarily have to trade kazmir, they could trade minor leaguers for him, but again it might not happen and if the phillies/halladay thing doesnt work out they may go for lee.

Living in northeast Ohio and watching how the Dolan Family operates, it would be a package of 2-3 prospects, so the stats you are seeking would not be on the MLB level. The club would be dumping salary for 2009 and 2010…not looking to pick up talent currently on the Rays roster.
I would ask for Wade Davis (p, 8-6, 3.22 ERA, Class AAA Durham), Ryan Morse (p, Class AA Montgomery) and Shawn Riggans (c, Class A Charlotte).
