Proper Christmas card etiquette?

20 November 2009 No Comment

When addressing Christmas cards, is it rude to address the envelope as such : The Smith Family (for example) ?
We have several nephews and can not always keep the names straight, that is the names of their children.

How about a greeting inside the card–Could we put Mike, Suzie and Kids or just leave it blank and sign our names?

Addressing the card to the Family is just fine.

Either way is perfectly fine! Every year we get a "brag letter" from a distant fam member talking about how much money they have..were building our 5th house..brad and carol are traveling the world..and we live on top of the mountains with a great view of the world blah blah…we are god..as long as you are not doing that…your x-mas card etiquette is perfect!

I would put The Smith Family on the envelope

I would not put Mike, Suzie and Kids- that just shows you don’t know

Maybe something like Wishing you all a very happy holiday season……
