I'm so sick of my life at home?
When I am away from my parents I am the happiest kid in the world. My parents are so strict they make me so miserable. It’s like I am locked up in a freaking box! They absolutely hate my way of life, I am a 17 year old male that is attracted to the same sex. My parents have a highly overrated hate for me. The only way I am allowed to go hang out with my friends is if I say I am hanging out with girls, If I say a guys name they freak out on me and wont let me go do anything and they take my phone and laptop.

Last night my phone started messing up, I have the env 3, I have only had it since Halloween and the front screen messes up when you put a space in a text message, Well I asked my mom if I could go to Verizon and have them fix it… What does she do? She doesn’t let me go.

So the next time she tries to call me I will not answer and if I get in trouble for it then I will be straight up with her "um I told you my phone was messed up that’s your fault for not letting me go get it fixed"

We always get into fights about once a month and its always over the most stupidest immaturest crap ever, like the last fight was because I went to a friends house after school my dad told my to be home before dark well I get home right at dark its still bright outside but from the inside of the house looking out the windows it looks like its dark… Well it ended up in a 3 hour fight where my dad threw a newly open dr pepper at me…

They always tell me I can move out but when I do pack my stuff and go to move out they wont let me. My friends parents have told me I am always welcome to come stay with them.

I am 17 years old and they will not let me have a job. If I want to make money I have to go to my dads ranch and be his little slave

Help me out what do I do! I absolutely hate living under their rules and everything.

wow im sorry …. College is a good idea ……. but also i know this aint the best idea but it just might help ….. tell ur parents that u relise u like girls and u were just going through a phase.. i know its not good to lie to ur parents but it might make them lighten up a lil bit.. also after u hit 18 u can move out and they cant stop u.

Well, it sounds to me like you are probably your own worst enemy. My guess is that you are probably making poor choices and your parents are freaking out and tightening up the reigns on you. You are probably driving them to the point of telling you that you can just move out, but they already know how difficult "real life" is, so they stop you. Probably because they love you.

Believe me, I have seen more than 1 or 2 of my sons friends have absolutely no boundaries. They make bad decisions, get in trouble with their parents and after a while, mom & dad say " get out" and they mean it. Why, because they didn’t care enough about these kids to lay down any laws and have any standards. They also didn’t care enough to stop them from leaving and now wandering the streets.

Your parents may not handle everything perfectly, but at least they care enough to have rules, uphold those rules, and attempt to save you from yourself. Real life is coming quick, either this spring or next spring…right. You’ll find out very quickly how hard life can be and hopefully you’ll remember some of those lessons taught in a difficult household. They will probably help you because a good part of society. God Bless!

Try to talk to them about it. If you believe they won’t listen to you when try to talk to them do what you feel is right. If you honestly believe that moving out is the best option then do it. Sneak out during to night or something. BUT before you do that think long and hard about it. These are your parents, you only get one pair. Do not make rash decisions, think about the consequences first. It sounds like you have a hard life, you can run or try to work through it. It seems like you’re parents really do love you, and they are trying to do what they think is best for you, but if you don’t think it’s the best thing for you then you should talk to them, calmly. Be mature in the conversation and if your parents start yelling be the bigger person and just drop it. I hope this helps.
